In a small sauce pan over medium heat, boil the water. When the water is boiling, carefully place the dried peppers into the water and allow to rehydrate. Approx. 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, wash the mushrooms and slice them very thin, lengthwise.
Drain the peppers and save the water in a bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients to the water and stir to combine.
Place the sliced mushrooms on a dehydrator rack in a single layer. Brush each side of the mushrooms with the seasoning mixture.
Dehydrate on 350 degrees until they are dry and leathery. Approx. 4 hours. Flipping them halfway through.
