Description
A delicious meat-free crumble that can be added to any recipe that calls for sausage or beef. These homemade vegan Italian sausage crumbles are savory, satisfying and oh-so-versatile.

- 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 2 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 Tbsp Liquid Aminos (or Soy Sauce)
- 1/4 Cup Vegetable Stock
- 1 Tbsp Fennel Seeds
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 10 oz. Beyond Beef Crumbles (or a similar plant-based ingredient)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, black pepper, vinegar, liquid aminos and vegetable stock. Stir to incorporate completely.
- In a deep frying pan over medium heat, toast the fennel seeds until fragrant. Stirring frequently approx. 2 minutes.
- Next add the oil to the pan along with the Beyond Crumbles. Stir occasionally, allowing the Crumbles to brown on all sides.
- Once browned, pour the seasoning mixture onto the Beyond Crumbles and fennel in the pan. Stir continuously until the liquid has absorbed or evaporated. Transfer to a bowl and use immediately for pizzas, pastas or in any recipe you would use sausage.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
