Economical Plant-Based Food
I will never forget my first trip to Trader Joe’s. I had just moved to New York and was volunteering so I only made enough money to cover rent and food, sort of. Food in the city can be incredibly expensive just like everything else here. But then, I walked into Trader Joe’s…. Heaven! Well, almost, except for the long line outside the store just to get in and shop. It was popular and for good reason.
Trader Joe’s is not only great for the prices, but more importantly, it is spectacular for the products that it carries. There are certain things we ONLY buy at Trader Joe’s. Now, we don’t go every week because for us, it is not all that convenient. However, it is worth it to make the trek at least once a month or so. And when we go, we always pick up our favorites and what now we call our TJ staples.
If you have a Trader Joe’s nearly, I would highly recommend going and trying it out if you have never been. But if you shop there semi-regularly, maybe try one of these products next time if you haven’t already. We love them all.
Also, if you have other products that you love, please share them in the comments section down below. We always enjoy trying new things and I’m sure others would appreciate the information too. Thanks, and happy shopping!

A Quick & Easy Berry Mango Smoothie
Last but not least, here is a smoothie recipe that we love to make that includes three of our regular Trader Joe Staple products: Roasted Almonds, Frozen Mango chunks, & the Frozen Berry Medley.
Any frozen fruit would be a great addition. Not only is it much more reasonably priced than fresh fruit but it also was frozen at peak ripeness so it is just as flavorful as when it was initially harvested. The addition of the raw almonds add protein to help keep you satisfied longer. We also love to add chia seeds for extra protein but that’s optional.
This smoothie is fresh, sweet, and protein rich. It is a great way to start the day or refuel after a tough workout. Luckily, we are able to make it often thanks to budget friendly Trader Joes. I always knew there was a reason why their employees are so friendly, I would be incredibly happy too if I was always surrounded by amazing food. Thanks TJ’s.
