Have you ever gone crazy trying to find pizza dough in your local grocery store? We did too– until this recipe! We had no idea it was so easy to make pizza dough. Now we make it whenever we get a few minutes free just to keep in the freezer for later use.

This recipe will yield two medium-sized pizzas, but it doesn’t have to be just for pizza. It also works great for calzones and garlic knots. Don’t settle for store bought, when you can easily make you own with minimal effort! Enjoy! 🍕

A classic homemade pizza dough recipe that will serve as a fabulous base for any type of pizza. A simple recipe that’s bound to be repeated!
Ingredients
- 3½ cups all purpose flour
- 2 T. 2 tsp. olive oil
- 1½ cups warm/hot water 110 degrees
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 envelope rapid yeast
Instructions
- Put flour into stand mixer bowl or a large mixing bowl.
- Add in dry ingredients and mix either with a dough hook or a wisk. Depending on which method you are using.
- Add 1 T. oil and 1 cup of water while the mixer is running. If not using a stand mixer use hands to incorporate ingredients.
- Keeping the mixer running still add second T. of olive with the rest of the water.
- Run mixer until a ball forms and all flour is off the sides of the bowl. if the dough seems too dry add a little more water and if it looks too wet add more flour.
- Coat the inside of a large bowl with the 1 tsp of the oil and use the remainder to coat the dough ball.
- Place dough into the bowl and cover loosely with plastic wrap or a clean dish towel.
- Once risen place on a floured surface and knead for 2 or 3 minutes.
