Summer is the perfect time for a cool drink and often more than one. Therefore, I would like to introduce you to a refreshing, light shandy that will have you coming back for more and won’t have you regretting it the next day– a delicious Spicy Grapefruit Shandy.
This grapefruit and jalapeño shandy has amazing citrus notes as well as a surprising spicy kick at the end. The bright beer fizz helps awaken your senses and then the bright grapefruit lingers on your tongue with a refreshing zing. This drink is truly summer at its finest.

- Light Beer (We used Gluten Free Blonde Ale)
- 2 Pink Grapefruits (Juiced)
- 2 Fresh Lemons (Juiced)
- 2 Jalapenos (Stemmed, Deseeded Sliced into Chunks)
- ¼ Cup Light Agave Nectar
- Juice all citrus and prepare the jalapenos.
- In a drink shaker, Combine the citrus juice, agave nectar and jalapeno chunks.
- Muddle vigorously for about 1 minute. Strain unto a pourable container.
- Place 2-3 ice cubes into a pint glass, Followed by ¼ - ½ cups of the citrus mixture.
- Fill the rest of the glass carefully with your choice of beer.
