Eating Vegetarian: A Healthy Cookbook for Beginners
Working with the publisher Calisto Media was definitely a new experience for us but now we are so thrilled to be able to share it with you! From the very beginning our cooking has always sparked joy and passion and nothing makes us happier than sharing the benefits of eating more plants.
How It All Began
We initially shared our recipes with family and friends but soon our little project MeatlessMakeovers.comwas born. It has now been 3 years of COUNTLESS recipes to sample, approximately 60,000 photographs taken, and a few pounds put on here or there. It truly has been a labor of love.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading, trying recipes, or simply following the blog or our social media accounts. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
Now, we have the opportunity to share some of our recipes with a broader audience because of your support. We are overjoyed and have learned so much along the way.

Full disclosure, initially we were concerned about writing a vegetarian cookbook rather than a plant-based one. However, both of us initially started out as vegetarians and eventually moved on to our current plant-based diet.
But the truth is, everyone has to start somewhere and often the first step is removing meat alone. However, many of the recipes are indeed plant-based, a large majority are gluten-free, and some are nut or dairy-free as well.
The Recipes
We believe that if you enjoy our blog recipes, you will also enjoy the vast majority of the recipes in the cookbook because many are from the site or based on versions from the blog. But don’t worry, there are brand new recipes too. In fact, it contains 75 RECIPES!
