Huckleberry is one of our favorite flavors. It’s sweet, tart, and it also has such a fun name. In honor of my home state of Montana, every August we share an irresistible cocktail featuring this delightful mountain berry.

Although we often indulge in a Montana Huckleberry Mule or Huckleberry Cosmopolitan– this year we decided to take it up a notch. Yep, this is one strong drink that might even take you back to your college days… Huckleberry Long Island Iced Tea!

FAQ & Huckleberry Long Island Iced Tea Tips:

  • What if I can’t find Huckleberry Vodka?

    • No worries, you can also use regular vodka in its place. You may just want to add more huckleberry syrup to give it more flavor if needed.
  • Can I use real huckleberries instead of syrup?

    • Absolutely! If you are lucky enough to find fresh huckleberries, you can also make your own homemade syrup using this easy huckleberry sauce recipe from Hilda’s Kitchen Blog
  • Serve Extra Cold in a Large Pint Glass

    • This is a potent drink, so we highly recommend serving this cocktail in an extra large glass so you can dilute the drink properly with plenty of soda and ice.
  • Adjust the amount of Huckleberry Syrup, as Needed

    • The great thing about a homemade cocktail is that you can adjust the proportions as you see fit. If you prefer a sweeter drink, go ahead and add a little more syrup or feel free to add less as well.
