Spicy Mint Chutney

Spicy Mint Chutney

Creamy, spicy, and perfectly dippable- this Spicy Mint Chutney covers all the bases and it’s ready in 5 minutes. Yes, please!

It’s All About the Herbs

Condiments around the world have one thing in common- fresh herbs! This chutney is bursting with flavor thanks to lots of fresh mint and cilantro.

The mint adds an element of brightness and the cilantro brings a slight citrusy flavor. Dried herbs won’t do, opt for fresh. Don’t worry you won’t have any trouble finishing this Spicy Mint Chutney!

Creamy & Easy!

There is one secret ingredient to this chutney though. It brings richness and a velveting creaminess- dairy free yogurt. This simple ingredient takes this Spicy Mint Chutney from typical to phenomenal. We recommend using a plain unsweetened variety like almond. Yum!

This recipe is as quick and easy as they come. It will be ready in 5 minutes flat. Simply, prepare the ingredients as directed and put everything in a food processor and blend. That’s it!

Helpful Tips

  1. A food processor quickly dices the ingredients in this chutney. If you don’t yet have this incredibly useful kitchen tool, we highly recommend it.
  2. Take the heat to your preferred level. If you are worried about it being too spicy (is there such a thing?! ), start slow with the Thai peppers. More can always be added as you go.
  3. Use this chutney on EVERYTHING! This is not just for dipping naan or samosas- try it for a salad dressing, as a soup condiment, as a topping for a baked potato, or for these Air Fryer Curried Wontons.  You really can’t go wrong!
  4. Try other spices for a new take. Rather than cumin, add some garam masala, cayenne, or chipotle pepper. Experimenting with spices is a great way to make any recipe your own.

Condiments can take a meal from good to amazingThis Spicy Mint Chutney is one of those condiments you will find yourself adding to any and everything. Hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious- get ready!
